Facebook to run video ads on news feeds

Facebook have been talking about this for a while but now they are actually testing video ads on a small number of news feeds.  It is said, from Thursday, some users may see an ad for an upcoming film called Divergent.  As you scroll down your news feed, the advertisement will appear and it will automatically start to play, although there will be no sound.  You will need to click on the video to hear it.  Facebook have confirmed this is still in testing and has not been signed off […]

Did you know…..the hashtag was first used on Twitter on 23rd August 2007 by @chrismessina .  In 2009, Twitter hashtags were adopted by Twitter so anything with a # in front of it became hyperlinked.  They later introduced Trending Topics which showed the most popular hashtag from around the world. There was a story in the newspaper today regarding a Head Chef who had been fired a week before Christmas and he decided to have a rant using the company’s official Twitter feed.  He was allegedly sacked because he wanted to have 25th December off as it was his daughter‘s first Christmas.
